PRIVATE ADAPTIVE LESSONS
One-to-one instruction built entirely around you. Our specialist instructors deliver each lesson based on your ability level, using the best adaptive equipment to help you achieve your goals either on the slopes or online.
every lesson, tailored to you
No two adaptive skiers are the same. That's why every private lesson starts with a conversation about your disability, your skiing experience and what you want to achieve. From there, we will build a session plan that fits you.
Whether you're getting on the slopes for the first time or refining technique after years on the mountain, our instructors have the qualifications and experience to meet you where you are and enjoy the process of improving you skiing ability.
We welcome skiers with any form of physical, sensory or learning disabilities. If you have any specific questions about how our lessons could work for you, please get in touch.
ONLINE LESSONS AVAILABLE
Can't make it to the Cairngorms? We offer online adaptive ski coaching sessions — technique review, drills, and planning sessions delivered via video call. Ideal for skiers preparing for a trip or continuing their development between visits to the mountain.
HOW A LESSON WORKS
01
Initial Consultation
Before your first session we'll speak with you (and a carer or family member if helpful) to understand your needs, goals, and any relevant medical information.
02
Equipment Fitting
We meet at the slope and fit any adaptive equipment needed. Your instructor will explain how everything works before you ski.
03
On-slope Instruction
Your lesson takes place on the slopes, paced entirely to you. Your instructor adapts in real time to how you're feeling and progressing.
04
Debrief & Next Steps
At the end of each session your instructor will summarise what you worked on and suggest a focus for your next lesson.
SPECIALIST ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT
We have access to a full range of adaptive ski equipment, fitted and adjusted for each student before every session.
Sit-Skis
We have both dualskis and monoskis suitable for sitskiers of all ability levels. We have a variety of seat sizes to ensure that the equipment is comfortable and enables the best possible performance.
Outriggers
Forearm crutches with small ski tips, providing balance and support for skiers with lower-limb weakness, amputations or any other balance related disability.
lift harnesses
A variety of lift harness set ups to ensure that sitskiers are able to safely and effectively use the ski lift.
Tethers & Guides
Instructor-controlled tethers for skiers who need assistance to change direction, control their speed or just to learn new techniques. Tethers are great for helping to build confidence.
